Hopefully, you are incorporating the breathing exercises into your daily routine and have chosen a mindfulness prompt. Now take a moment to consider if your prompt is working effectively. If not then change it!
Today we want to develop the use of being mindful during a daily activity. This could be during washing the dishes or during a shower.
Focus on the activity and how it physically feels. Consider how the temperature of the water feels. Are there bubbles in the washing up bowl – how do they feel? Are there certain smells or sounds that you can pick out?
This exercise focuses your mind completely on the present. If your mind does begin to wonder gently bring it back to the present.
