Zoe’s Cornwall Retreat Diary

On the last weekend of March, I attended a retreat run by Lynn Round in Cornwall. I was not really sure what to expect but I can honestly say it was one of the most rewarding and relaxing weekends I have spent in a long time. We stayed in lovely accommodation in the heart of Cornwall. It was a large farmhouse in a very rural location that was very well equipped to serve the eight of us that stayed there.

There were 6 other ladies on the retreat who all came with their own story and personality, but everyone was so warm and friendly that we all felt very at ease throughout the weekend. We all had varying levels of spiritual connection but it did not matter how good you were as just being involved with meditation and readings made you feel part of the group and nobody was judged on their ability.

Over the course of the weekend, I received messages from relatives in spirit and also worked towards healing myself from a recent loss. We also visited a small cove in Carehays and worked with the sea and natures gifts: shells and pebbles and the sea air. This helped clear our minds and make us feel more grounded.

When the end of the weekend arrived, I really did not want to return to every day life. But as we all know life must continue. I cannot wait for the next retreat!
