Being mindful starts today with focusing on our breathing. This simple technique can be carried out at any time of the day for 5 -10 minutes. For me personally I find that just before I get out of bed or before I go to sleep is ideal. While lying down or sitting take a moment to relax your body. You can have your eyes open or closed. Now concentrate on your breathing, and on the gentle wave like feeling.
Gently in and out……at some point your mind will begin to wonder. This will happen initially a number of times, don’t worry acknowledge the thought but then refocus each time on your breathing.
Practice this at least once a day.
